Books you may enjoy!

The Big Burn - Teddy Roosevelt & the Fire That Saved America by Timothy Egan & Robertson Dean. As nonfiction books go, this one ranks right at the top. It is such a well written book that I swear could smell the burning trees. While the fire storm was the main thrust of the book, the telling of all the involved players was an education in itself. Although this fire occurred in 1910, the effort to seek out and establish national lands for the public is still revelent today as congress is currently attempting to open this land to lumber companies and developers.

Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach.  What can I say I loved this book!  My initial purpose for even being interested in reading this book was simply "Well, I will be a cadaver one day, so why not?" Plus, the author has a terrific way of handling subjects that make us uncomfortable. This book was an eye-opening, entertaining oft time humorous look at the dead body.
